We've come a long way from the days of Happy Valley!  For years Happy Valley was a retreat for many Calgarians and visitors.

Whether you love to golf surrounded by majestic, panoramic views or you enjoy spending a leisurely afternoon with the sounds of a rushing river in your ears, you'll find a home at Valley Ridge Golf Club. Being a Semi-Private & Public Club, this allows for a perfect combination of private course rigour and beauty with public course accessibility and affordability. This makes our championship course attractive to golfers far and wide.

Here, you'll find the vivid sights and sounds of nature nestled in a valley only 15 minutes from Calgary's downtown core. Our 7,026-yard 18-hole championship layout with four tee boxes per hole includes the River Nine and the Ridge Nine. With new challenges around every fairway corner, your day on the course will test your game and delight to your senses.

Be sure to stop by our double-ended driving range which includes grass tees and target greens. Or spend some time at our 19,000 sq. ft. putting green, short game centre, or practice and teaching centre to hone your skills.

Dress Codes

The following dress codes apply to all golf-related areas, including the practice facility.

Mens Wear

  • Denim of any color is not accepted (except Stampede week)
  • Gym attire is not accepted (sweat pants, tank tops, muscle shirts, etc.)
  • Collared or mock golf shirts only
  • Proper footwear (golf shoe with non-metal spikes, running shoe, no more than 1" heel height)
  • Properly tailored attire (closed hemline required, no cut-offs)
  • Shorts must be no higher than 3" above the knee
  • Appropriate logo-wear only

Ladies Wear
